Shire piles.are the essential method of use for extensions, garages etc. Ideal to support lightweight structures.
SERVICES INCLUDE
- Subsidence Repairs. Low rise buildings situated on shrinkable clay soil and with significant trees or other woody vegetation growing nearby may under certain circumstances be subject to movement caused by a moisture deficit within the soil. When tree related subsidence is suspected then insurance companies, or other organisations, may request an investigation by a qualified arboriculturist to determine the likelihood that the trees are to blame, and to assess possible solutions. What evidence exists of previous problems, especially within event years?
All these, and other, factors are combined to assess the likelihood that the implicated trees, or other woody vegetation, are in fact to blame.
TESTING SERVICES
- Pull Out Test For Bond Strength. - Thermo graphic Scanning
- Facade Investigation. - Cover meter Survey. - Precise Leveling
Shires Piling.
Shire piles are helical friction piles designed for use in new build applications (for remedial applications see Shire Stabilisers), approved for use by Local Authorities, Building Insurers, Consulting Engineers and Surveyors. The helical stabilisers are suitable to provide support for new lightweight structures e.g. conservatories, single storey extensions, porches and garages. Dependent upon ground conditions, the helical supports can be installed to depths up to approximately 10m or more and will carry loads from 30kN to 100kN.
As the helical supports are installed using an adapted pneumatic driving hammer, no piling rig is required, making Shire piles an ideal solution for sites with limited access. The efficient method of installation ensures minimal disruption for the client and minimal enabling works are usually required.
